Sleep Medicine, Better Sleep, Better Health

Our Approach

We take a comprehensive, individualized approach to sleep care. Rather than focusing only on symptoms, we evaluate your overall health, sleep patterns, and risk factors to better understand what may be affecting your sleep quality.

Your evaluation may include:

  • Detailed sleep history and symptom assessment
  • Screening assessments to evaluate symptom severity
  • At-home sleep testing or in-lab testing when appropriate
  • Review of medical conditions and medications
  • Evaluation of contributing factors such as weight, hormones, and lifestyle

From there, we develop a targeted plan designed to improve sleep quality and long-term health.

Conditions We Evaluate

We assess and manage a range of sleep-related concerns, including:

  • Obstructive sleep apnea
  • Snoring and disrupted sleep
  • Excessive daytime fatigue
  • Insomnia
  • Sleep disturbances related to weight and metabolic health

Many patients are surprised to learn how closely sleep health is connected to weight management, cardiovascular health, hormone balance, and overall wellness.

How It Works

At Metabolic Center of Oklahoma, we strive to make sleep evaluation and treatment accessible and straightforward.

The process begins with an evaluation by our sleep nurse practitioner, Rachel Watson. If symptoms indicate, the next step may include a convenient at-home sleep study.

We work with your insurance provider to offer high-quality home sleep testing that is typically completed within one to two nights.

Rachel then reviews your results with you. If obstructive sleep apnea is diagnosed, we help coordinate proper CPAP fitting and ongoing support to ensure effective treatment and long-term compliance.

As weight changes occur, mask fittings and pressure adjustments may also be updated to improve comfort and effectiveness over time.

  • Snore loudly or wake up gasping during sleepuctive sleep apnea
  • Have been told you stop breathing during sleep
  • Feel tired despite a full night’s rest
  • Experience daytime fatigue or brain fog
  • Struggle with falling or staying asleep
  • Have high blood pressure, weight concerns, or metabolic issues

Why Sleep Matters

Poor sleep doesn’t only affect how you feel day to day - it can also impact long-term health. Untreated sleep disorders have been linked to cardiovascular disease, diabetes, weight gain, fatigue, and decreased quality of life.

Improving sleep quality can have a meaningful impact on energy, focus, metabolism, recovery, and overall daily performance.

Pricing & Insurance

Sleep evaluations and treatment are generally covered by most major insurance plans, though patients should still expect applicable co-pays and co-insurance costs according to individual plan guidelines.

For patients without insurance coverage or for those who prefer self-pay options, current pricing is listed below.

Self-Pay Pricing

  • Initial Nurse Practitioner Visit - $135
  • Follow-Up Nurse Practitioner Visit - $85
  • Home Sleep Study Device & Interpretation - $250
  • CPAP Machine - $675 (payment plans available)

Insurance providers often require documentation of CPAP usage during the first 90 days of treatment. Ongoing follow-up appointments may also be recommended during the early stages of treatment to help improve comfort, compliance, and results.
